FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where do you live and do you travel?

Bret David Photography is currently based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. We love to travel and unless it takes a camel or mountian goat to reach your wedding, we'll be there. We currently charge a small travel fee for destinations located more than 50 miles away from zip code 46205.

Do you work with a second photographer?

Yes, I do! one of the things I really love about photographing weddings is witnessing all the beautiful candid moments that take place durring a wedding day. I find working with a second photographer allows me to capture more of those beautiful moments. Currently, all of my collections include a second photographer.

Do you edit all of your photographs?

Yes, I do! All the images that you receive from Bret David Photography will have been hand edited. Any Images that you may choose to have us enlarge or make into wall art will receive a free second edit. During our second edit we'll go over your images again to insure that all your prints and wall art look amazing.

How long does it take to receive our products and photographs?

Generally online galleries are posted within 5 weeks of your wedding date, this is also when your digital files will be released. Prints and wall art will generally be available 3 weeks after you place your order. Upon final approval of album designs, most albums are ready for delivery within 12 weeks.

What is an online gallery?

Your onlive gallery is a private, password protected section of my website where all your wedding photographs will placed online for your family and friends to view. It is also a secure shopping cart- which allows you (and your family and friends) to order prints and wall art. It's also the way we deliver engagement and wedding day files. You'll have a download option and pin, and you can begin downloading the second you recieve your gallery.

How many images will we receive?

The total number of images captured on your wedding day depends on a lot of things - the numberof guests, hours of coverage, type of event, and so on. Our average for an eight hour days with a second photographer is 600-800 images, but that may vary depending on the day itself.

Do we keep the negatives?

Yes, the edited high-resolution digital images are all yours. If you desire we can also provide you a written release to have your images printed at a lab of your choice. We do retain copyright to the images and the right to use them for promotionial purposes, competions, and so on.

Do you offer engagement and maternity sessions?

Yes, we do! We love  engagement and maternity sessions. Since we primarly photograph weddings on Saturdays, we schedule E-sessions and M-sessions Monday-Thursday, or on Sundays.

How do I hold the date?

A booking fee/retainer of appox $500 is due to reserve your date. The remaining balance is due two weeks before your wedding date.

When should we book our wedding?

As soon as possible. Most of my clients contact me and contract me within a year of their wedding date so the sooner we can get your date saved, the better.
